For example, if the lower field is developed for housing will Winthrop Street provide safe and adequate access? or, will access be onto Pleasant Street/Page Streets?

In a discussion with SAD 16 Superintendent, I was told that a housing complex exiting on to Winthrop from the Reed Center exit was deemed dangerous due to lack of visibility. If true, that might require looking at Pleasant Street as the complex's exit. If that were to happen, the character of Pleasant/Page Streets would be adversely affected. In addition, safety for pedestrians and children would be highly questions. There are blind spots on Pleasant Street and many who use Page/Pleasant Street as a short cut drive too fast.
